To those who don't know, DJ Tiesto "The world's no. 1 DJ" is coming to Manila for a second time. Great. I wasn't able to go to the last one and I might not be able to go to this one as well. WHY? Well, allow me to enumerate:

1. I don't think I'll be able to get enough money in time to buy tickets. IT'S TIESTO, I'm expecting a full house here. HIS PARTIES ARE MAD.
2. Even if I do get tickets, who will I go with? And especially who will I go with that will make my parent (who parties a lot and expects me to do the stupid things clubkids do) allow me to go?
3. Who's going to get me there?
4. IDK JUST TOO MUCH STRESS HERE.

Honestly, this is such a huge bitchslap for me. Really is. I listened to him before he even became "the world's number one DJ", and I listened to him when he was still underground, and I made my loops then a lot like his--a sort of blend of his style and the Telepopmusik style that I adored, I knew his music when he still wasn't TIESTO and JUST.

Fuck. When he went here for his Asian tour last time, "In Search of Sunrise" or something called like that, I DESPERATELY WANTED TO GO BUT COULDN'T. And when I heard from friends from Europe how he toured and went around the Netherlands, Bucharest, and then just around the world to Mexico and whatever, FUCK I WANTED TO. Friends just kept talking to me about his parties, and sent videos on how mad it was, and the energy. Jesus Christ the energy! To think I've been loving his music for so long, and to not be able to go to this one?

Damn, I listened to the tracks of "Elements of Life" even before it was publicly announced (because I'm a pirate like that :D) and loved every single track. No messiness, no ugly transitions, just pure trance. Fucking magic. And it really just kills me to think I might not be able to go. Really. (And it doesn't hurt that he looks good :D)

But what is the purpose of this post? The real purpose is to get anyone who's willing to help me get to this party (maybe even along with them LOL) as easily as possible. Or something. It's called desperation people, and I have it. DO NOT WANT.

I just want to get to the damn party. :(
(cross-posted everywhere to get people who are compassionate to help me! :D)

I ride jeepneys on the way to school.

What are jeepneys? In fact, as I boarded that jeep, I was singing the song in my head (despite not hearing the song for a good 3 months- my musical memory's that good, methinks) and then as I got near the station, BOOM!

The mix plays Dragostea Lin Tei, with some other DJ music.

The whole mix ranged from 80's remix, techno overlays, and some dance/club music with electronica.

In other words, it was awesome.

I could hardly contain my joy at hearing DJ music from a JEEPNEY early in the morning.

After that on the train, I took out the mp3 player and listened to Tiesto. :D

Another typical day for my ears.

Dance dance revolution hurts when you play it 10 times in a row.

Ow. Yes. I'm an amateur <s>make that wanna-be</s> DJ, and so this'll be a ranty, rant rant place for frustrations with DJ'ing, partying, mixing music and- OH! Did I mention I'm a DanceManiax and Dance Dance Revolution enthusiast? Haha! Prepare to be bombarded with crap such as that. That.

I'd elaborate, but HELLO THERE. I'm too lazy to even think of where to start.
I'm also a student journalist, so yeah, expect music reviews, critiques, and such. :D
And now, onto the review.

Martime: We, The Vehicles (2006).

-Written by Windburn

Music? Totally indie. Words are poetic, without being too over-the-top. Their guitar riffs and keyboard overlays produce a dreamy and wanderlust-like effect. Speaking of wanderlust, We, the Vehicles puts the feel of being on the road and loving every minute of it- with tranquil and excitement overlapping.

You definitely won't skip a single track on this album. The starting notes are enough to get you either completely relaxed or batshit happy. Or both.

Tracks such as "Tearing up the Oxygen", "We, The Vehicles", and "Calm" makes for a very awesome roadtrip album. Defnitely a good one, especially if you're into classic rock infused with post-modernism and avant-garde music.

Maritime is coming up with a new album this October 2007, "Heresy and the Hotel Choir".

[Listen]
